This teaser was created to introduce The Maze through a visually striking and mysterious approach, designed to capture attention without revealing too much.
The goal was to build intrigue, something that would resonate with existing fans while also drawing in a new audience through ambiguity, atmosphere, and visual tension.

• Mystery-Driven Visuals: Building a sense of curiosity through obscured forms and gradual revelation.
• Organic Distortion: Using fluid, almost biological elements to deform and conceal the symbol.
• Symbol Reveal: Structuring the animation so the identity emerges slowly and intentionally.
• Atmospheric Tone: Creating a bizarre, unsettling aesthetic aligned with the project’s concept.
Execution Approach
The entire piece was developed using 3D simulation techniques in Blender, focusing on achieving a natural and organic deformation effect.
The motion was carefully crafted to feel alive and unpredictable, allowing the distortion to evolve over time until the original symbol became visible again. Every stage of the animation was designed to reinforce the sense of transformation and controlled chaos.
From Concept to Execution
The initial idea revolved around hiding the symbol in plain sight. Not by removing it, but by transforming it into something unrecognizable.
This required exploring different visual approaches until finding a balance between abstraction and recognition, ensuring the reveal would feel both surprising and satisfying.
Creative Challenges
PROCESS
One of the main challenges was developing a simulation that felt organic enough to resemble a living structure, rather than a simple visual effect.
This involved extensive experimentation inside Blender, adjusting parameters, testing behaviors, and refining the motion until it achieved the desired level of realism and visual impact.
Additionally, synchronizing the visual transformation with the audio added another layer of complexity, requiring precise timing and control over the pacing of the animation.
The Final Result
The final teaser delivers a visually engaging and enigmatic experience that captures the essence of The Maze without relying on explicit storytelling.
By combining organic motion, controlled distortion, and a gradual reveal, the piece creates a strong sense of anticipation and curiosity!
